Swimming Blog Post

We have just finished two weeks of swimming lessons at QEII.

In my last blog post I wanted to use this week to improve on is to work on my butterfly kick and my arms, My breaststroke arms and legs and also getting better and my technique and going faster on all of the strokes. I have been successful because when I had trouble doing it I kept on pushing me self to do it and I didn’t give up.

This week, we did a lot of water safety skills. Something that I have learnt is to if you are in a river and the current is really strong you should go feet first not head and this is important because if you go head first you can hit you head on the rocks but if you go feet first you will not be able to hurt your head.

The thing that I enjoyed the most this week was when we were allowed to go in the boat but you had to pull yourself up into it you also had two people to just help you get up if you had trouble I also enjoyed when we were allowed to wear pajamas because it was really hard to swim because the Pjames didn’t really work well.

Something that I want to learn next time I have swimming lessons at school is my butterfly kick and my arms because I can have trouble with getting my arms over the water I also want to improve on is my freestyle breath because sometimes when I breath on my side the water goes in my mouth.
